I don't know how Mustard was first made.

I could look it up, but rather than do that I'll go on imagining that before it was made, people didn't ask for "condiments" they just asked for "condiment" and when you asked for "condiment" someone handed you a bottle of Ketchup. Then some keen entrepreneur from Texas decided that instead of handing ketchup, he'd hand a jar of Salsa as he had recently made a large investment in the Salsa industry. Others followed suit - one made Relish, another Mayonnaise, and another coming up with Honey-Mustard. It wasn't until a large honey shortage though that people realized how good mustard can be on its own.
